How to Buy Digital Crochet Patterns: Downloads, Language & Sizes

Susan's Family digital crochet patterns are downloadable files, not physical kits. Check the product page for language, instruction format, skill level, and any size selector before purchasing. When a product offers separate size versions, the download contains the version selected at checkout.

Quick answer: No physical shipping is required. Download links are available from the Thank you page and order status page, and are also sent to the email address used at checkout.

How are digital crochet patterns delivered?

After checkout, the digital file can be downloaded from the Thank you page or the order status page. A download link is also sent to the email address entered at checkout. Use an email address you can access and check all email folders if the message is not in the inbox.

Delivery is digital, but no fixed delivery time is promised. The Thank you page and order status page provide an alternative when an email is delayed.

Do digital patterns need shipping?

No. Products identified as digital patterns do not require physical shipping, and there is no physical parcel to wait for. Physical delivery estimates, warehouse processing times, and the current Europe and UK physical-shipping suspension do not apply to the downloaded file.

A digital pattern does not include yarn, hooks, stuffing, buttons, or other physical materials unless the product page explicitly states otherwise. Visit the Digital Crochet Patterns collection for downloadable patterns, or choose a product described as a kit when you want physical materials.

What language and terminology do the patterns use?

English is the default language. Selected products may offer Japanese or other language options, and those options are shown on the individual product page. Do not assume that every listed language is included in one purchase; check the selector and product description before ordering.

Susan's Family uses American crochet terminology, and chart measurements are shown in centimeters. The amount of written text varies because some patterns rely mainly on charts or tables.

How do Adult and Child size options work?

Some patterns have separate size variants. For example, the Starry Hooded Cloak page asks the buyer to choose Adult or Child. That purchase includes the digital pattern charts and instructions for the selected size only, not both size files.

Before adding a pattern to the cart, confirm that the selected size or version shown near the purchase button is the one you need. Products without a size selector are not affected by this rule.

What do chart and table instructions mean?

Instruction format varies by pattern. A chart uses symbols and shapes to show stitch directions. A table uses abbreviations and ordered steps. Amigurumi patterns cover stuffed or three-dimensional crochet or knitting projects. Review the product page to see which format is offered and whether a video tutorial is linked.

What should you check before buying?

  • Product type: Confirm that you want a digital pattern rather than a physical yarn kit.
  • Language: Check the default language and any selectable language option.
  • Size or version: Select the required option when the product has variants.
  • Instruction format: Check whether the pattern uses charts, tables, written instructions, or a combination.
  • Skill level: Review the stated difficulty and any linked explanation.
  • Materials: Check the product page for yarn, hook, notions, and quantity information. Do not assume physical materials are included.
  • Email: Enter an accessible email address at checkout for the download message.
  • Refund rule: Review the digital-pattern policy before payment.

Can a digital pattern be refunded?

Digital pattern purchases are non-refundable because access is provided immediately after purchase. Read the product description, language, format, size selector, and included information before paying. The full terms are available in the Refund Policy.

If you need clarification about a purchased pattern, contact susudiy@aizgf.com and include the order information and the part that needs clarification.
